The tea break

“Science may never come up with a better office communication system than the tea break” ~ Earl Wilson

If you are like me 😉 I count the minutes and seconds to the morning or afternoon tea break. Nothing is so refreshing and relaxing than a cup of hot tea or coffee!  It gets you going till the next break. Do you plan to use that time also to have a short exercise break – stretch or 5 or 10 minute walk around? Most offices use that time to have a little celebration for staff members birthdays or some event. Back in the ’70s there was always a Tea Lady in most offices. I miss those times, where you walked into the Tea Room to see a pot of hot tea brewing on the stove, or a pot of coffee. Sometimes if you were lucky you had scones, coffee scrolls, sandwiches!  The Tea Lady was always so welcoming, creating a real homely atmosphere for staff to mingle and chat about the footy, politics or anything else under the sun. Do you have a Tea Lady in your office these days or even a regular morning/afternoon tea function?  Please share with us your thoughts.
