Transcription tapes for recordings

Tape recordings

Tape recordings

I have been looking at my transcription machines for some time and wondering if people do still use the old Cassette tapes, Micro tapes, Mini tapes? Is there anyone out there that still uses these tapes? I have 3 machines set up to handle any size tapes. I do get transcriptions from some of these tapes, but majority are digital – sent via SendThisFile or Drop Box. I also transcribe from CDs as well. Audio recordings of upto 30 minutes in length can be emailed to me for converting to a typed Word document or even a PowerPoint Presentation, or Database. A consultant I work with sends me his morning dictation through email. He receives his mail first thing in the morning, previews, and dictates a reply letter or report. He also dictates instructions on other things to do – reply to his emails, online network with his colleagues, organise meetings, travel – just like a real Secretary would do at an office.

If you are looking for someone to transcribe recordings from any of the above tapes, and cannot find anyone, please drop me a line at xpressonline@bigpond.com.

Best regards
